THE RULES
At Lucigo, we like to think that we don't need a massive amount of rules to keep the game running effectively. We aren't here to police you, we're here to have fun so please abide by the small amount that we do have and try to have some fun. It's a game after all.
- All the normal RPG rules apply here. Don't powerplay. Give your character some flaws. No porn. No discrimination or harassment. These should go without saying but just keep this in mind. If any of these are broken please note that we reserve the right to delete without warning. Respect your fellow members.
- We honestly and truthfully do not want to have to enforce any of these. If you are accepted, you have some experience in the RPing world and none of this will even matter. Just do what you've always done and you'll be fine. We're all here to have fun and write so take full advantage.
- When joining, the form needs to be filled out in its entirety. It is purposely extensive so that we may get a feel for your character and you, first of all, but for everyone else to get to know your character and maybe even dig some plots out of it. In addition, a joining post needs to be included of at least 400 words. It needs to be written from your character's point of view though it may be recycled if the character is coming through the vortex into Lucigo. Remember to spellcheck and edit your post as well.
- We require acceptance at Lucigo Island. This means that one of the many owners must accept your application before posting. While we are not going to go through posts with a fine tooth comb, we do like to see that some effort was put into your joining and as such, they are looked over. Do not post until you have been accepted or posts will be deleted and action will be taken.
- We do not have traditional boards. There are no challenges or steals and for good reason. Lucigo is meant to be a semi-realistic game in that our ponies may talk but they still behave like horses do. If you want to snag a mare from another herd, plot it out or handle it in post. We all like a little drama every now and then and even better when it is actually done in character.
- Our territories are done in a very different way from most games. Herd heirarchy still exists and stallions may band together to protect their own herds as one but there are no official lands. Each herd may choose an area that they prefer to frequent but none of the land is actually owned. This means if there is a confrontation and one herd is run off by another, there is no forfeiting of mares or foals.
- Upon joining, as a mare you may go where you please to seek out a herd to join. As a stallion, you may join up with another herd or attempt to start your own. There is no limit to the amount of herds we have but keep in mind that stallions can overpopulate easily.
- We value character development above all else at Lucigo. We like to see all of the things that make your character tick as well as the relationships that help to define who they are.
- There is a post limit of 400 words. This is an advanced game and because of such, that really shouldn't be a problem. We can understand that some days you just don't have it in you but excessive posting of less will get posts deleted without warning.
- Seasons are broken up very simply. We have two seasons, Wet and Dry. Each of them last a full month. Breeding occurs during the 15th of the Wet Season until the 15th of the Dry Season. More specific rules for breeding are on the stork board if you have any questions.
